Paul borrowed a portable keyboard from his church on Monday and returned it on Sunday morning, every week, for four years. Nobody at the church asked where it went during the week.
He played the keyboard parts standing up and the bass parts with his left hand. The band did not have a bass player. It did not need one while Paul had a left hand.
He was the only member of the Mesa lineup whose parents came to every show. They sat in the back and did not clap until the end.
Now. Organist at the same church in Mesa. The keyboard was retired in 1991. He kept the strap.
