Travis bagged groceries after school and on Saturdays from 1993 to 1997. He paid for the pressing of the band's compact disc himself, in cash, at a duplication plant two hours away. He did not ask to be paid back.
He played bass with a pick and his eyes shut. He has said he did not shut them to concentrate. He shut them so nobody would talk to him.
The release flyer was pinned to the grocery break-room board in December 1995. It is still there.
Now. Manages the same grocery store. Has not taken the flyer down.
